Welcome, all to our Arena of Valor Support Hero mini-breakdown and review!
As I’ve had more than enough experience playing in the support role, as far as MOBA games such as Arena of Valor and alike go. The only thing I can say is that it often brings stress and frustration. Your ally Heroes might fault you, or even start verbally abusing often. They think that only Supports should ward and peel for the carry champions. Even tho, often that’s the case, as far a peeling and defending your ally’s goes. You, as a certain Support Hero, can engage and start off a team fight. Many Support players are seen as playmakers. As they can be the first ones to see a window of opportunity and a weak point in the enemy lines.
- Providing safety for ally Heroes. Heals, Shields, buff ups and et cetera.
- Assuring vision for your team and thus provide even more safety.
- Support Hero’s bring lots of Crowd Control. Abling you to manipulate the battlefield as you see fit.
- Support heroes are often squishy.
- Packing loads of damage isn’t your priority, nor item build. If your carries are left behind and can’t catch up to the opponent’s damage dealers, you can’t be of any major damage deploying use.
To start off our Arena of Valor Support Hero list, we have:
Apart from other supports, Sephera while damaging others can heal Ally Hero’s too. With good poke in her ability ‘Water Spirit’ and even greater with her following auto-attack. A stun accompanied by damage in ‘Wall of Water’. Her Ult ‘Tide of Life’ being no slouch, healing all ally heroes for a large amount of HP while damaging enemies and providing herself immunity.
Alongside Sephera, Peura also is mainly oriented around buffing her friends and restoring their missing health points. With certain amounts of self-defense (In her passive). Use the ‘Healing Light’ to restore yours and your ally’s health. ‘Forest Century’ to poke and provide CC for your Markman during the lane phase. Ult when necessary to further boost the armor stats of your team and potentially stun foes.
Opening up our roaming Support Hero’s list is Alice, with her passive ‘Trot’. Upon using abilities you gain bonus movement speed of 20%, for a second. Making you harder of a target to pick on, as you can cast your spells while transitioning from one place to the other. Alice also provides shielding for the team with her ‘Friendship’ and solid CC with ‘Sunshine’. Furthermore, she decreases enemy magic defense stats with her ult.
What makes Chaugnar unique is his ultimate ability. When cast, he frees all ally Hero’s of CC effects, making them immune for any other crown control to come, for another second (3 seconds for himself). Changing the tides of team fights. With his passive giving him bonus defensive stats, making him tankier. And abilities such as ‘Energy Surge’ and ‘Shockwave’ making him capable of providing some damage for the team.
Lumburr is good at providing defenses for his teammates and opportunities in which the game can be rotated 180 degrees into your favor. With ‘Protect’ giving additional armor to the lowest HP Hero besides him and ‘Rampage’ providing shielding. While ‘Shattered Earth’ deduces enemy AD and AP power and ‘Earth Splitter’ providing slow effects on your enemies when cast, besides damaging them of course.
A couple of abilities providing stuns and an Ult that can resurrect a friendly Hero, Teemee’s the man. Upon resurrecting, ‘Being a Bro’ also heals the ally fully and damages enemy champions. The duration of his ‘ Pooty Poots’ stun increases, as he channels it further. ‘Scavenger’ is worth mentioning. It provides you extra gold when non-Hero units die near TeeMee.
Xeniel has enhanced auto attacks on every third strike and self-shielding. We can call him an ‘in-your-face’ type of support. Casting ‘Divine Protection’ on yourself, just to then leap into the enemy team with ‘Malleus’. Thus creating team fights and opportunities for your companion, to win in a trade while laning. While his ult deduces potential damage that you can take, and after 2.2 seconds gives you a 15% heal of your maximum health.
A passive that heals upon reaching 10 stacks and can stack up to 15 times, ‘Whisperwind’. ‘Gust Force’, a DoT spell with additional movement speed reduction. ‘Wind Cuffs’, upon tagging two enemies, pulling them to one another. Therefore stunning them for one second. Last but not least,’ Hurricane Wall’, granting movement and attack speed for allies, as well as taking all CC effects down. That’s Annette for you.
That would be all for our Arena of Valor Support Hero list and breakdown. Hope you found some useful information and had fun. Be sure to stick around and read up on our other posts on Arena of Valor Heroes, and other games!
